“Newer Architecture of Belgrade” (June 7, 2019, Belgrade, Serbia)

First call to one-day professional practice (free of charge educational city walking tour)
“NEWER ARCHITECTURE OF BELGRADE” (June 7, 2019, Belgrade, Serbia)

We invite international scholars and students to apply for a one-day free professional practice “Newer Architecture of Belgrade” within the “Architecture Day” of Faculty of Philosophy planned on June 7, 2019. The practice consists of three parallel group walks along the central zone of Belgrade (11-17 h) supplemented with thematic lectures (dr Milica Kostreš, FTN, Novi Sad and dr Aleksandar Kadijević, Faculty of Philosophy, Belgrade) at the amphitheater “Georgije Ostrogorski” of Faculty of Philosophy (19-2130). Interested persons can apply for one of the following thematic groups (the capacity of each is 100 participants):

1) The influence of globalization on contemporary Belgrade architecture (the walk includes a tour of recent globalist interpolations in the central zone of the city, the Sava River Coast and Slavia square.)
Speakers: prof. Aleksandra Stupar (Faculty of Architecture, Belgrade), architect Bojan Kovačević (President of the Academy of Architecture of Serbia) prof. Aleksandar Kadijević (Faculty of Philosophy, Belgrade).

2) Foreign architects in Belgrade (1845-2015). Visit of famous works by Russian, Czech, Slovak, French, German, Croatian and Slovenian architects in the central zone of the city.
Speakers: Aleksandra Ilijevski and arch. Nebojša Antešević, Ph.D.candiate, Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade.

3) Famous Belgrade corner buildings (1865-2015). Walking means taking a tour of the city’s central area.
Leaders: Vladana Putnik Prica (scientific associate at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade) and Ivan R.Marković (Ph.D.candidate).
